Fashion Trends

  • Coat Season

    • Clearly editorial calendars were ready to launch the coat material this week. Makes sense for late October, but hard to get excited about when it is over 90 degrees where I live.

    • Goop did a style edit that is well put together. Can't be topped (pun intended.)

    • And WhoWhatWear did a fabulous round-up of the must have jacket style of the Winter. Especially if you live in a walking/outdoor city, this Toteme jacket is the one to have. Sold out at so many retailers.

    • Just found this influencer on TikTok and Instagram. Loving her coat edit on must have styles. A great breakdown of the variety that you can use.

  • Houndstooth

  • Micro Minis

    • Post Miu Miu micro mini skirt from Fall 2022 skirts are staying micro. Denim, black patent and from Miu Miu's spring fashion show.

    • While the coats and houndstooth feels more preppy and classic, the micro mini is not that...

Bravo

  • Yes, I love my housewives (Bravo's Real Housewives that is) and this week there was a big announcement that overlapped with the fashion world.

  • The new cast for the Real Housewives of New York reboot has plenty of fashion and influencers in the cast. Y'all, Jenna Lyons is the Housewife we did not see coming.

  • This new cast was a smart move for getting awareness and a new audience. Plenty of Jenna Lyon's fans will likely tune in just to see her (and her fashion and interior style) and might not have tuned in otherwise. Additionally, many of the new cast mates are influencers with large followings that will bring along their fans as a built in audience to bring up the viewership each week. Many of the women are also entrepreneurs with their own businesses (vs launching once they get the followers from the show) which will be exciting to watch.

  • Personally, I'm already a fan of Scout the City - Sai De Silva.

  • BravoCon happened last weekend, and honestly it seemed like the installations and details were incredible. So much content shared online. Well done to the producers and event planners etc that executed this PR masterpiece. It was said that the attendees all had a good time and felt like they were in on the joke. It was being somewhere with others that really understood you.

Enjoy some treats because post Halloween I think it will be 100% focused on holiday shopping. We are already seeing gift guides here, here and here.

Thanks for reading Edition 121.
