Fashion News! NYFW
This feels like the biggest news - Phoebe Philo's returning with her new collection in September.
All the fashion insiders were quoted for the NYTimes article about the glow-up that Tory Burch is currently experiencing. The leader of "American Style."
For more about Tory Burch, listen to this podcast from The Cut where EIC Lindsay Peoples interviews Tory Burch.
I love getting caught up on all the updates. Here is what I've been reading and listening to.
Fun podcast chat of all the NY fashion week highlights from the team at Who What Wear.
NYTimes has a running list of all the moments at NYFW. Including Thom Browne's spectacular show and Marc Jacob's tribute to Vivienne Westwood.
I'm loving the new Vogue podcast The Run Through. The last two episodes had lots of NYFW news and are great listens. This week's here and the previous week's episode I loved the interview with Gabriella Karefa-Johnson on styling the Vogue covers.
Trends that make you go - WHAT?!?!?
Cartoons
MSCHF's red boots, which look like Astro Boy or something you drew with a magic marker. Words don't do it justice, so see an image below.
Vogue writes about the boots too - including how difficult it is to wear them.
And go for the full head to toe look with the Noggin Bros cartoon hats.
A new Baguette in town
Nope, not by Fendi. Panera. Yes, the fast casual chain. Designed a bag to literally fit an actual baguette. And it legit sold out. Glamour wrote about the handbag that is now selling for $250 on eBay.
Rich B!%$h Trend - what does it mean to dress rich?
Town & Country reports on how we got here and what it all means. And perfectly in line with the moment that Phoebe Philo is set to return.
Vanessa Friedman from the NYTimes wrote about what it means to dress rich in American Fashion.

What else I ❤️️
Love this book! My favorite book as a child (and still now) "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" was in the New Yorker where they dissect the appeal of the book.
Superbowl ad I loved - Rakuten gets Clueless for their Superbowl ad. Love the nostalgia.
And more Superbowl ads, I think my new favorite genre of ads is “super niche and in the know”
I really enjoyed learning more about Molly Baz (cookbook author - "Cook This Book") and her background from this interview on Second Life with Hillary Kerr.
Great article from Forerunner on what consumers are feeling right now. This is the WSJ article they reference on consumers feelings.
Meena Harris and Helen Min launch Phenomenal Ventures with $6 million to invest.
As someone who has worked in the back-end of building e-commerce brands I appreciate reading about the tech companies focused on building the technology to drive the platform.
What's Next?
Wrapping up NYFW and heading across the pond to London next.
Thanks for reading Edition 128.
